Beautiful wood finish. Since there is no face cover, the hands are easily moved when bumped, but doesn’t matter with me, as it sits on my end table where that won’t happen. But small children or pets could be a problem if the clock is placed in a vulnerable place. I personally like the looks of the open hands. But providing the option of a face could increase sales. I looked a long time for a small inconspicuous, simple clock without an alarm. This is perfect for me!
